Services are provided by an experienced, certified wound ostomy registered nurse. (CWON). She holds certification from Certified Wound Ostomy Continence Nursing Certifying Board (CWONCB), a nationally recognized, gold standard certifying board, established in 1978.

What is a Wound Ostomy Nurse Consultant?

The Wound Ostomy Nurse Consultant has a demonstrated history in designing and implementing wound treatment and prevention programs. He or she has the expertise to provide cost effective wound management, protocol development, and staff development.

What is a bedsore?

The terms “bedsore or decubitus” are no longer used, and are currently referred to as a Pressure Injury (PI) . The National Pressure Injury Advisory Panel (NPIAP) announced the name change in 2016. Pressure Injures are usually caused by unrelieved pressure under a device or lack of sufficient off loading pressure from a bony prominence in a timely manner.
